Right from the house, there's a steep, serpentine climb up to Kniebis. If you don't get dizzy right away, you can continue on the Oppenauer Steige, the Löcherberg and Freyersberg or on the nearby Vosges passes. Markus Falk, host at the Schützen, knows every kilometer here, every curve, but also the very small, quiet paths, some of which are still without asphalt. When it gets dusty while driving, he sometimes thinks of Namibia. He worked there as a chef and lost his motorcyclist's heart to the black continent. The hotelier takes care of his guests with a very special service: For the small hunger during the tour there is the possibility to take a packed lunch. In addition, free tour maps with six tour suggestions for the Black Forest and Alsace are available.
